Popis: | 99 The pilgrimage of Xiang Qingan Temple, commonly known as "Xigang incense," is originated from the pilgrimage of Bafen Guma Temple in 1784 and was continued by Qingan Temple since 1823 with the total of 76 times until 2009, covering 96 villages and townships. It is not only known as "Taiwan''s first incense," but also designated as national important folk activity by the National Council for Cultural Affairs. In pilgrimages, the traditional troupes organized by villagers and many non-commercial martial troupes are the characters worthy of further study and exploration. This study adopted methods of analyzing literature collected, field observation, deep interviews to investigate the historical origins, organizational operation, technique transmission, physical art performances and etc. with village troupes as the example. It was found after the investigation that villages still retain the traditional style that local people organize the troupes. In which 16 local martial troupes are the biggest feature of Xigang incents that last for more than two hundred years of unbroken continuity. The martial troupes organized by every village and temple reflect the remains of the early organization to protect the village and people in one hand. On the other, it also revealed the divinity admiration expressed by the local people with their physical performances. In today''s rapid-changing society, although the training of martial troupes faced various problems, villagers still tried to overcome for promoting divinity. By the training of martial troupes, it not only connected the villages, bus also revealed the cultural characteristics of village lives in the process of inheritance customs and beliefs. Meanwhile, the physical performances done by martial troupes in the "admission," "opening," "exploration" and "thank you" ceremony also interpreted the spirit of local people. At the same time, it has demonstrated the unique characteristics of the local people recognition by using the same color of the "foot towel" as a common symbol. |
