Popis: | 99 A Study of Relationship among Work Values, Role Stresses and Teaching Efficacy of Elementary School Teachers in Kaohsiung City Abstract The study is made with the purpose of investigating work values, role stresses and teaching efficacy for Elementary School Teachers in Kaohsiung city. Mainly adopting the “investigation research method,” the study took the teachers of the national elementary schools located in Kaohsiung City, with the tool of self-arranged “Investigation Questionnaire on the Work Values, Role Stresses and Teaching Efficacy of Elementary School Teachers in Kaohsiung City.” Adopting Stratified random sampling, the study sent out 672 official questionnaires, with 644 questionnaires returned and 623 of them being the usable questionnaires, achieving a return rate of official questionnaires at 95.83% and a return rate of usable questionnaires at 92.70%. The study employed the methods of independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, multiple stepwise regression analysis to perform the verification of different suppositions. Then, the following 8 conclusions were drawn by the study: 1.Elementary school teachers’ work values are positive. 2.Elementary school teachers’ role stresses are positive. 3.Elementary school teachers’ teaching efficacy are positive. 4.Elementary school teachers who in the “above 49 classes” school have better work values and teaching efficacy. 5.The higher elementary school teachers’ work values, the lower the role stresses. 6.The higher elementary school teachers’ work values, the better the teaching efficacy. 7.The higher elementary school teachers’ role stresses, the lower the teaching efficacy. 8.Elementary school teachers’ work values and role stresses both have a significant explanation for the teaching efficacy, first is “Interpersonal Relationship”, second best is “Role Ambiguity”. Finally, according to the above findings and conclusions, the study offered suggestions to elementary school teachers and future studies in the light of the research result.
