Because of the global climate transition, the issue of food security became worth noticing. The Economist in 2008 draw an analogy between food crisis and “silent tsunami” which raise the significance of the food crisis. In Taiwan, government treats this problem as “national policy.” Therefore, to upgrade the quality agriculture and innovation on service science is the major task. Quality agriculture was one of the six emerging industries promoted by government in recent years. it not only elevates GDP, but also provide secure and toxic-free product, research, development and innovation of technology. The service innovation leads to new concepts and techniques, while the on-line service model of Web and Internet also creates new connection for services in information technology. This research based on four dimensions of service innovation introduced by Hertog(2000). We conduct case studies on four production-marketing groups to analyze how information technology may assist quality agriculture to move toward service innovation of service technology. Our main findings are as follow. First, through implementation of information technology and traceability system, the producer of agriculture may be involved in the service innovation model to increase sold-quantity of agricultural-related service products. Second, the producer would integrate service innovation model based on product characteristics in the traceability system to elevate the capacity of agriculture. Third, matching up with international trend and traceability system to structure a new service innovation model of farm management to achieve ongoing management.
