The Study of Environmental Facilities and Leisure Experienceat Kaohsiung Love River

| Popis: | 99 Love-River flows through Kaohsiung city and county. For developing Kaohsiung city to be an international and modernistic water shore metropolis, in the last few years the city government is engaged in river water quality improvement and riparian construction, such as love-yacht, riparian coffee and film libraries, etc.. These caused the Love-River to transform by sewer into a recreation place. However, the improvement plan for a recreation place is so importance that it is necessary to constantly understand the experience behavior of tourists. Therefore, this research inquires into the tourist characteristics, expectation before the travel, satisfaction degree of leisure experience, overall satisfaction degree, revisit intentions, leisure imagery, as well as, examines their relations. This study brings some suggestions in Love-River future planning and management. This study selected the range of Kaohsiung-Bridge to Kenko-Bridge along Love-River as the research scope. Using convenience sampling visit method, totally 412 valid questionnaires were finished. Using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 7.0 statistical analysis software, some analysis were carried out such as descriptive statistics analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, validity analysis, independent sample T-test, one-way analysis of variance, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, discriminate analysis. And also, important-performance analysis (IPA) was applied to analyze tourists’ attitude to Love-River. Results were shown as follow. 1. The tourists of various characteristics show significant difference with tourism motivation, pre-importance, experience satisfaction, and leisure imagery. 2. Married tourists recognized that Love-River can provide the social activities function. Male tourists pay much attention to natural environment, public facilities and environmental health. Middle-aged tourists satisfy environmental health and safety facilities. For more than four times revisited tourists, the impression of social activities and leisure imagery is more profound. 3. Most of tourist partner are friends, colleagues and classmates. Touring party is relatively fewer. Main tourist characteristics are college education level, students, unmarried, live in the south. 4. The six factors (improvement project, natural environment, environmental health, public facilities, service quality, safety design) of experience satisfaction hold significant relationship with overall satisfaction and revisit intentions. Visitors possess high satisfaction degree for whole landscape leisure facilities, and show high revisit intentions. 5. Tourists pay much attention and satisfy to riparian tree planting, clean river environment, river landscape, lighting facilities, riparian bikeway planning. It is recommended that they should be maintained. As well as, it is recommended that managers must strengthen the improvement about the riparian leisure route planning, the diversity of natural ecosystems, cleanness of river and public toilets, indication of safe water activity range, etc.. |
