Popis: | 99 In recent years, people can obtain more diverse services of wireless network especially in the populous or metropolitan area with good network performance. Due to the lack of network infrastructure in sparsely populated or remote areas, Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) are proposed to be a new network concept. This kind of network has a variety of characteristics such as intermittent connectivity, long delays, high error rate and limited resources, so that routing data to the destination in DTN becomes a challenge. To deal with such problem in DTN, store-carry and forward is used to deliver data. The concept of DTN is extended to Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET). Generally, routing protocols for VANET can get the positions of nodes through additional networks, but it is difficult to do in DTN. In this thesis, we propose a new routing protocol called Distance-Aware Routing with Copy Control (DARCC) in vehicle-based DTN. This routing protocol can get the positions of nodes by exchanging information when nodes contact. Besides, DARCC can limit the number of message replicas, so that it can achieve high delivery ratio and low overhead. By comparison, the results confirm that DARCC performs better than other existing DTN routing protocols. |
