A Study on the Relationship between Principals' Leadership Behavior and School Public Relations in the Elementary School

| Popis: | 99 This research was to explore the relationship between principals’ leadership behavior and school public relations in the elementary school and the current public relationship of schools, and to provide some suggestions for the reference of educational authorities, principals of elementary schools and future related research. The research was done by questionnaire to achieve the goal of the study. A sample of 304 teachers which were randomly selected 45 elementary schools in Yunlin County、Chiayi County and Chiayi City. Adopt 「Questionnaire survey of principals’ leadership behavior and school public relations in the elementary school」as a research tool to investigate the 267 effective samples which has gathered and process the data by the packaged software of SPSS 12.0 for windows. The data were analyzed and presented by the means of average, independence sample t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation. Findings from the analyses were summarized as follows: 1. The perception of the principals’ leadership behavior was above average by teachers in the elementary school. 2. The perception of the school public relations were above average by teachers in the elementary school. 3. There were significant differences between the background variables such us gender, position of service and scale of school on principals’ leadership behavior. 4. There were significant differences between the background variables such us gender, position of service, scale and area of school on school public relations. 5. There was a significant and positive correlation between principals’ leadership behavior and school public relations. |
