A Research of Multimedia Evaluation into Teaching Game for Understanding–A Case Study of Elementary School Tee Ball

This research aimed to investigate the influence of the implementation of different types of formative evaluation on the teaching effectiveness of elementary school Tee Ball teaching for understanding classes. The quasi-experiment design used the pretest-posttest of experimental group and control group. The subjects were fifth-grade students in three classes selected randomly from Jin-Xing elementary school in Taoyuan County. All three classes have had Tee Ball teaching in three weeks, the control group did not take formative evaluation, the experimental group A takes "traditional formative evaluation", the experimental group B takes "multimedia's formative evaluation". The data obtained were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and post-multiple comparison statistical analysis(α=.05). A face to face interview were conducted to survey of Tee Ball online multimedia assessment system. The results were as follow: 1. Increasing the amount of formative evaluation can enhance cognitive learning effects of Tee Ball effectively. 2. Increasing the amount of multimedia formative evaluation can enhance skills learning effects of Tee Ball effectively. 3. The online multimedia evaluation system build by this research provided a different form from the traditional pattern and obtained 90% of users’ positive evaluation.
