The Research on the Development of Taiwanese International New Entrepreneurs after World War II

Popis: | 99 Taiwan was set free after World War II from the "outsider governance" and "colonial systems" more than three hundred years, creating the economic miracle as well as amazing the world. This study adopted viewpoint of dynamic capabilities from Teece et al. (1997) to explore the development of international new entrepreneurs of Taiwan after World War II. The main issues of research are: (1) To explore firm’s internal factors; that is, what were the key competences of Taiwanese international new entrepreneurs after World War II facing rapid changed environment, and how the capabilities affected business success. (2) To explore the external factors; that is, how environments and opportunities surrounding the companies affected the success probability of Taiwanese international new entrepreneurs. This study went through literatures review and seven cases of interview methods. From the analysis and interpretations of above research issues, this study induced eight propositions about the capability attributed to internal factors, as well as the environments and opportunities of external factors. Thus, this study proposed a modified research framework accordingly. In theoretical contributions, this study explored the internal and external factors of the development of Taiwanese international new entrepreneurs after World War II specifically and practically, and added to the paradigm and theory in the past literatures which were insufficient, providing academic circles more complete pictures to the successful development of Taiwanese international new entrepreneurs after World War II. In terms of practical implications, this study used case studies and interviews reality as research methods. According to study results and induced propositions, there are significant implications for the constructions of business strategies and managements to the development of Taiwanese international new entrepreneurs after World War II. In addition, it provided a procedure and standard for integrating and reconfiguring dynamic capability for Taiwanese international new entrepreneurs when they are facing a rapid change of markets and environments in the future. |
