Popis: | 99 Bai Ling has very abundant and spiritual ideas in the grasp of literature. Among the middle age poets in Taiwan, Bai Ling has unique poetic techniques which present his own style. He has great attainments in both poetry writing and commentary. Bai Ling''s poems are very creative, and his commentaries on poems are as creative as his poems. His commentaries are distinct and unusual from other critics. His perspective turns a new page on contemporary poetry criticism. Hence, this paper selects Bai Ling''s unique creations in poetry as the study subject, and further discuses the process of how he constructs his poetic ideas. In Bai Ling''s published poetry collections, he attaches the processes of the meditations and the transformations of his certain works. There are obvious trails in these attachments for readers to track his creative ideas back to his mental process. This paper is trying to analyze Bai Ling''s creative ideas and the process of Bai Ling’s hesitation and modification in writing his poems; and further to reconstruct the process to figure out how he gains his creativity and discuss this process from sprouting to presenting of his creativity. Bai Ling always believes that poetry has more original features than any other forms of literature. He is good at creating terrific images in poems. Those images often surprise his readers or even leave them great impressions. Poets are like the "namers" in our world. They use the skill of metaphor to reveal new relationships between things which surround us. In Bai Ling''s comments on poetry, he uses “the metaphor game” as the starting point of writing a poem. Therefore, in Chapter Three, the focus is on Bai Ling’s unique way of building images and his use of metaphors to help his readers have a deeper understanding of the creativities in his poetic techniques. The aspiration of Bai Ling''s poetry is to present its originality. He is the pioneer who dares to explore the unknown area of Chinese New Poetry. Thus the purpose of Chapter Four is to discuss Bai Ling''s creative efforts on his use of image and language, his unique way of selecting poetry forms, and his aspiration of pushing the filed of poetry to jump out of the paper. Chapter Five is the conclusion. The intent of this paper is to provide us various angles to deal with the topic of creative poetry and propose a further development for Bai Ling''s poetry. |
