A research of the business Japanese conversation textbook in Taiwan-Focus on vocabulary

The education of university has time limited, it’s impossible to teach all the vocabulary to learners. Therefore, selecting appropriate vocabulary to learn is essential. Nowadays, The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test plays an important role in Japanese education. However, non-examination vocabulary are also important to people who is engaged in work which is related to business. This study is according to four textbooks of Japanese conversation for business to do the research of vocabulary. And compare with the vocabulary of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test; inspect the vocabulary level of textbooks with the way of measure. Besides, about non-examination vocabulary, it can be inspected the features from a point of view of Hinnsi(part of speech) and Gosyu(types of words). The thesis is constructed by these five following chapters. The chapter one is introduction. The chapter two is the whole feature of textbooks. The third chapter is to analyse the vocabulary of textbooks. The fourth chapter is aboult analysing the non-examination vocabulary, and chapter five is conclusion and some followed questions. The survey of rhe conclusion shows that the basic vocabulary (level 3 and level 4), medium and advanced vocabulary (level 1 and leve2) and non-examination vocabulary are about account 1/3 in the Japanese commercial conversation. The Japanese Language Proficiency Test level 1 vocabulary account quite low proportion in the 1/3, and it is under 10%; about the non-examination vocabulary, it shows that noun account the largest proportion and followed bt the verb in the "Hinnsin" in any textbooks. "Gosyu(type of words) shows that the "kango"(borrowing words from Chinese or words created in Japan after Chinese) is ued commonly and account about 50% in any textbooks and followed bt "Wago"( the native Japanese words).
