The research and fabrication of a vertical-type multi-function energy-saving air-conditioner

Popis: | 99 This study is to develop a vertical-type electricity-saving and multi-function air conditioner with humidifying function for a single-user. This product is extended and modified from the 2007 NSC supported small industry-academic project: “multi-functional dehumidifier”. The “multi-functional dehumidifier” integrated cooling, heating, dehumidifying and drying four functions, pinpointed the air conditioning to the region next to single user, but without the function of humidifying. We conclude many suggestions from different people, the multi-functional dehumidifier is only suitable to hot and humid Taiwan and island-type climate regions. But for the most continents with cold and dry winter, heating the air will decrease the relative humidity and result in speed up the vaporization of water from human being skin; then it will cause uncomfortable feeling because of over drying. Thus, simultaneous heating and humidifying can meet the need of global market. In order to check the mechanism of humidifying function, the first generation of “vertical electricity-saving and multi-function air conditioner with humidifying function ” was made with transparent plastic shell; the evaporator is set on the top layer and condenser is set on the bottom layer; from this, the condensed water generated by the cold evaporator is cumulated in the water collector under the evaporator; and the condensed water is conducted and spayed on the cotton set on top condenser; the cotton is used to absorb the condensed water and let it to be evaporated into the air passing by the condenser; condenser is cooled down and thus it can obtain better cooling effect; the un-evaporated water is collected in the water collector under the condenser; the pump located at the bottom of condenser water collector is start to pump the water to the top of condenser again while the water is raised to some set level; in additional to improve the cooling effect of the air conditioner, the reuse of condensed water solves the problem of pouring the water when it is full. Once the above designed humidifying function can is working, the second generation product is completed as a practical machine. It is found that the shortages of the second generation product are: (1) it cannot be used as a table. (2) The wind direction is fixed. (3) The exhaust duct is not flexible. Pinpointing the above shortages, more suitable 85cm height, adjustable wind direction passages and fitted flexible duct are adopted in third generation product. It is completed with functions:(1) The room air temperature can be reduced down to 5℃ difference by passing through evaporator. (2) It can be dehumidified by pouring out the collected water under the condenser. (3)The hot and dry air passed by condenser can be conducted to dry the wet staffs after the dehumidifying function is undergoing. (4) The room air temperature can be increased up to 12℃ difference by passing through condenser. (5) The extra water can be filled into the water collector under the condenser and the pump located at the bottom of condenser water collector is start to pump the water to the top of condenser again while the water is raised to some set level; from this, heating and humidifying function is working for dry and cold season. (6)The humidifying controller can control the humidity less than 50%; once humidity reaches 50%, the pump is set stop-working situation. (7) The average consummated power is about 380W, it only pinpoints the air conditioning of the region nearby the single user other than the whole space which results in unnecessary energy-wasting; thus it can obtain energy-saving over 70%. (8) The machine top can be used like a table top. (9)This product can also be applied in open space without air conditioning. Thus, this product can reduce its weight by using plastic shell. After some shortages are modified, it can become energy-saving multifunction commercial product. |
