Factors Affecting the Behavior of H1N1 Vaccination in Taiwan

Objectives: The goals of this study are to investigate the factors affecting the practice of H1N1 vaccination in Taiwan of 2009-2010, and to explore the community behavior change of adverse events after H1N1 administration. Methods: The database used in this study was taken from the five interview surveys on the HINI influenza of Taiwan CDC in 2009 to 2010. Using stratified random sampling by counties, this study conducted structure questionnaire telephone surveys and successfully interviewed 5,628 cases (10.8%) with a sampling error of ±2.97% (95% confidence interval). Results: 1. The cognition showed that the correct recognition of H1N1 reaches 85% on average. In this category, all scores for those who received the vaccination were higher than those who did not; the scores in those who were willing to receive H1N1 vaccination were higher than those who were not.
