Semiconductor industry by the 2008 financial crisis, making the overall output decreased by about 24%, coupled with the semiconductor industry is already a mature industry, so many competitors, resulting in annual losses in 2008 were everywhere. The Institute of the Semiconductor Industry is the diode industry, and the diode is a variety of electronic circuits the most important basic elements, wide range of applications, industry competition is quite fierce. Therefore, how to identify the Critical Success Factors (CSF) to obtain a competitive advantage, will be the industry imperative, is the most important motivation for the study. The main purpose of this study is by integrating the SWOT, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Taguchi Method (TM), a proposed integrated model to explore CSF for semiconductor industry. Based on the above motives and purposes, this model is divided into three phases: the first stage of SWOT analysis, and for the SWOT for the future development of the corresponding strategic analysis, that is growth strategies (SO), opportunity strategies (WO), differences in strategies (ST), and change strategies (WT). The second stage places QFD-based architecture, combined with the SO, WO, ST, and WT strategies for WHATs, and the key performance indicators (KPI) from four perspectives of BSC for the corresponding HOWs. The third phase explores the correlation matrix from TM, 72 experiments are obtained by executing eight times of L9(34). Finally, CSF can be established from the eight TM experiments of L9(34). According to the case company results, 12 CSF from four perspectives of BSC can be obtained, the most important indicators of the first four complete sequences for the number of new product developed, order fulfill rate, the training time of indirect staff, and revenue. The results of the case study in addition to improving the company performance, and provide a practical reference for the industry.
