First, a novel design of the LED lamp is proposed in this paper in order to reduce the power efficiency of the LED lamp and the process cost. To replace the grating on the LED lamps, a side-emitting white LED lens with triangular structure of the backplane design is proposed. Design of the LED lamps should satisfy the JIS regulation, so that the optical analysis program with the Taguchi method is utilized in the procedure of the LED lamp design. After the design of the backplane of the LED lamp, the driver circuit of the LED is redesigned with the flyback convert. The main circuit of the switch mode is a single-stage PFC circuit. Unlike convention converters use output voltage as a control parameter, the switch mode constant current control is using the output current as a feedback to get constant current output. With the PWM controlled converter switch, we can obtain the constant current output in the variety numbers of the LEDs. The experiment of the LED lamp and the driver is going to measure the power efficiency of the driver and to compare with on-sale lamps. The iluminance and Uniformity of the proposed LED lamp is satisfy the JIS regulation, and experiment results show the proposed driver could improve the power efficiency of the LED lamp.
