Popis: | 99 In conventional power system, power flow and state estimation problems were solved in the central control center. However, such a type of centralized solution processes are not suitable for the future power system, smart grid. Unlike the centralized control center in conventional power system, smart grid possesses tremendous computing power and data exchange capability due to the available processing units in each bus of the system and the high speed two way communications in between buses. Therefore, due to completely different infrastructure, the above mentioned two fundamental computational issues in the smart grid require completely new algorithms. We assume the smart grid possesses the following structure: each bus is equipped with a processor, and every pair of transmission line connecting buses is linked by optical fibers. This thesis defines a class of network optimization problems to include the considered power flow and state estimation problems, and propose a distributed/parallel algorithm to solve this class of network optimization problems. |
