Popis: | 99 Purpose: High school badminton athletes participate in the intensity variable by heart rate control (IVHRC) test, which uses cadence as the controller of heart rate, to assess the reliability and validity of IVHRC in monitoring the cardio respiratory evaluation. Method: The participants were 12 male high school badminton athletes (age 16.67 ± 0.78yrs, height 170.83 ± 4.71cm, and weight 62.25 ± 4.97kg). Incremental maximal exercise to exhaustion was made before the ergometer IVHRC test to obtain the maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), anaerobic threshold (AT) and the maximal heart rate (HRmax). With count-balance, 42%, 52%, 62% HRR IVHRC tests were made twice on the ergometer, once running speed variable by heart rate control (RSVHRC) test and a 1600m test on the treadmill. Data progressed by Pearson's product moment correlations and intraclass correlation coefficient. Result: Despite in different intensity (42%, 52%, 62%) and in different time sections (5 min, 10 min, 15 min), IVHRC has no correlation with VO2max (61.38 ± 5.97 ml/min/kg) nor AT (48.31 ± 4.28 ml/min/kg), but IVHRC correlates with RSVHRC (11.03 ± 1.41 km/hour). Correlation can be found in 62% HRR IVHRC and 1600m (342.33 ± 15.00 sec) as well. There is good reliability in all HRR IVHRC tests. Conclusion: There are both reliability and validity for high school badminton players in IVHRC tests, which is controlled by cadence. Especially a better validity in assessing cardio respiratory endurance with the 62%HRR IVHRC test. |
