| Popis: | 99 The purpose of the study is to examine the effectiveness of the health promotion program derived from the accelerated learning perspective for the internet addiction of the Taiwanese college students. It was found that 130 of the 1497 first-year college students were considered to be pathological internet users(8%).Participants randomly in the treatment group(n=65) attended the health promotion program that was held 1 sessions per week for 8 consecutive weeks, whereas participants in the control group(n=65) received no treatment. The study employed a pretest-posttest design using the Chen Internet Addiction Scale(CIAS). The findings indicated that health promotion program derived from the accelerated learning perspective effectively reduced addiction level of Internet addiction. These results also give empirical evidence that office of student affairs should be incorporated when designing prevention programs and strategies for internet addicted college students. |
