Popis: | 99 The study of the Relationships between Middle-aged and Elderly Volunteers’ Social Relationships and Participating Motives︰Examples of Volunteers of Senior Active Learning Centers in Chiayi and Tainan Region Advisor: Dr. Wei, Hui Chuan Student: Yang, Chia Hung ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between middle-aged and elderly volunteers’ social relationships and participating motives. Based upon the result of this research, hoping to provide proper suggestion for the middle-aged and elderly volunteers and related volunteering institutions. This research adopts a questionnaire survey, and the data were collected from the middle-aged and elderly volunteers of Chiayi and Tainan region. 450 questionnaires were sent out, and 421 were returned with rate of 93%.The total number of valid questionnaires were 371.The statistical methods that analyzed the collected data are processed by frequency distribution, percent, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Person’s product-moment correlation analysis etc. The conclusions of this study are following: 1. Companionship was the highest perspective, and social interaction was the lowest perspective in social relationships of middle-aged and elderly volunteers. 2. Value identity was the strongest perspective, and social demand was the weakest perspective in participating motives of middle-aged and elderly volunteers. 3.The age, health status and service year are related to middle-aged and elderly volunteers’ social relationships. 4.The age, education, and health status are related to middle-aged and elderly volunteers’ participating motives. 5. The middle-aged and elderly volunteers’ social relationships is related to participating motives. Above all, According to the conclusions, this study proposes suggestions so as to be used for reference by the middle-aged and elderly volunteers and related volunteering institutions and references for future studies.
