Design the model of forging nut usually by personal experience. Normally people can use the similar shape, empirical rule and try- error method to judge the design. For new product development, we will lose our competitiveness if we modify model many times. It will waste much time, increase cost and lose product order due to schedule delay. This paper is focused on analysis of forging process of welding nut. I will discuss the questions and solutions during model design and development. To analyze the stress, material flow and size change during forging process by software of Finite Limited Elemental. It is hard to simulate the lubricant and air in the model, so I will increase the tolerance of model to drain out lubricant and air in order to reduce the difference between reality and simulation. I will also verify the reliability of analysis for the design reference of fastener industry.
