Organizational learning can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate innovation, and help it confront to external environment .For response to the external environment, organizations need to trade-off exploratory innovation and exploitation innovation. The study explores that what the driving factors to innovation? How different exploration innovation and exploitation innovation to the dynamic capabilities? Though in-depth case studies, two propositions are developed and the conclusions are: Exploratory innovation is driven by the R&D. New product innovation in idea stage, exploratory innovation needs technology-based reconfigure asset of dynamic capabilities. New product innovation from the idea to specific stage, exploratory innovation needs market-based reconfigure asset of dynamic capabilities. New product innovation from specific to commercialization stage, exploratory innovation needs sense opportunity and seize opportunity of dynamic capabilities. Exploitation innovation is driven by the market demand. New product innovation in idea stage, exploitation innovation needs sense opportunity of dynamic capabilities. New product innovation from the idea to specific stage, exploitation innovation needs seize opportunity of dynamic capabilities. New product innovation from the specific to commercialization stage, exploitation innovation needs reconfigure asset of dynamic capabilities. For SMEs, firms tend to take the exploitation innovation early. Exploration innovation and exploitation innovation are exist within the enterprise.
