9DST – A New Knowledge Representation for Video Databases

Popis: | 98 Recently, the technology of software and hardware is progressing, and the transfer speed of network is increasing. The applications of multimedia include audio, image, and video are more and more increasing. The video contains rich information that attracts many researches to study the technologies of managing and retrieving the video database. In this paper, we proposed a new video knowledge representation structure to present the spatial-temporal knowledge of video. The object indexing table records the states of video object, including the initial spatial-temporal state, and the continuing state of moving speed and ratio of size changing in the video, that the object indexing table can easy reconstruct the video. The 9DST indexing table (9 Directional Spatial-Temporal table) records the changing of spatial-temporal relations between video objects. From 9DST indexing table, we can easy construct the 9DST indexing structure to improve the efficiency of video retrieving. In the preliminary performance analysis, we show the efficiency is increasing. We also develop a prototype system that supports the methods presented in this thesis. |
