Popis: | 98 The main focus of this study was work values. One theme was to explore the associations between work values and personal background variables, including demographic and work-related variables; another one was to explore the relationships between work values and work-outcome variables, such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The analyses were based on data from the 2005 Taiwan Social Change Survey (TSCS), which had a nationwide representative sample of 2171 individuals. According to factor analysis, work values could be further subdivided into two types: extrinsic and intrinsic work values. Furthermore, the results showed that different groups basing on characteristics, such as age, educational, marriage status, social status, tenure and position had significantly different preferences of work values. In addition, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had significantly negative relationships with extrinsic work values, but positive ones with intrinsic work values. |
