Popis: | 99 The main purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between professional growth and teaching effectiveness for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County,and it should compare the difference under diverse background variables. The researcher adopted questionnaire survey,stratified random sampling from the social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County. As a whole, 786 copies of questionnaires were sent out, with 720 valid copies retrieved. The research tools of the study would be “Questionnaire on professional growth and teaching effectiveness for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County”. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. And the results of discussions are concluded as follows: 1. The condition of the professional growth for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County is above the average. As for “classroom management” is the strongest,and the decreasing variables are “specialized manner“,“interpersonal communication“,“education new knowledge”. However, the “teaching skill“ is the weakest. 2. The condition of the teaching effectiveness for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County is above the average. As for “good learning atmosphere” is the strongest,and the decreasing variables are “agile and effective technique “,“proper use of teaching assessment“,“teaching plan and preparation“.However, the “student’s academic performance” is the weakest. 3. The gender, age,marital status, seniority of service, educational level, present teaching status, length of teaching in social studies area have significant effects on the professional growth for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County. 4. The gender, age, seniority of service, present teaching status, length of teaching in social studies area,area of the school,and the school scale have significant effects on the teaching effectiveness for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County. 5. There is a significant positive correlation between the professional growth and the teaching effectiveness for social studies area teachers of elementary school in Taoyuan County. |
