The purpose of this study was to determine the choice behavior in regard to the travel patterns for people with reduced mobility. To achieve the aims of the study, a questionnaire-type survey was conducted, with a total of 269 persons with reduced mobility taking part. Following completion, the data were statistically evaluated using frequencies, percentages, arithmetic averages, t-tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and a binary logit model. These measures and approaches were used to analyze the extent of the importance of a barrier-free travel environment and the choice behavior related to the travel patterns. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the assistance provided by an entourage had an important part to play in the journey. Binary logit analysis also showed that people with reduced mobility preferred to choose a group package tour. The determining factors included the level of education and the extent of the disability, previous experience of taking an airplane, and so on. This study ends by providing suggestions to enable airlines and travel agencies to improve the quality of their service.
