The Study on the Silver Haired Group's Attitudes Toward Older People

| Popis: | 98 Based on literature review on attitudes toward older people, most of researches focused on pre-school age, elementary, junior high school students, college students and even nursery caregivers, but were lack of the attitude of the seniors toward the elderly. The purpose of this study is to make up for all age levels to understand of the attitudes toward the elderly. The attitude and behavior are closely related, studying the attitudes of the elderly is to change the behavior to adapt to old age. In this study, the people aged over 50 are used as the research object and older people attitude scale is used. The results show that the overall attitude of the seniors toward the elderly has positive attitude, and the economic situation, health status of the samples toward physical appearance, mental and cognitive, interpersonal and social participation of the older people are significantly different. And, the marital status, educational level, economic status, religious belief of the samples toward the work, health and economic security of the older people are also significantly different. The physical appearance and attitude is moderate positively correlated with the psychological and cognitive attitude, interpersonal relationship and social participation, economic security and the work attitude, and media toward the elderly. The psychological and cognitive attitude is high positively correlated with the interpersonal relationship and social participation. The psychological and cognitive attitude is moderate positively correlated with the economic security and the work attitude. The interpersonal relationship is moderate positively correlated with social participation economic security and the work attitude, According to the above findings, this study provides the feasible suggestions to the related units. |
