The purpose of this study was to investigate the muscle activation of table tennis loop. 14 male table tennis players in junior high school served as participants, divided into 7 lay-outs and 7 substitutes. Recorded the electromyogram response to 8 loop-related muscles, the loop movement was taken with CASIO high-speed camera to differentiate between phases. This research was based on the statistical methods used to analyze the data were Acqknowledge software capture data, Mann-Whitney U, Independent measure analysis of variance(ANOVA), the statistical standard was set to be α=.05. The findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. In paddle rasing period, the active level of deltoid of substitutes is better than lay-outs (p<.05). 2. In swing to hit period, the active level of trapezius and pectoralis major of substitutes is better than lay-outs (p<.05). 3. In continued swing after the hit period, the active level of lay-outs and substitutes is no different. 4. In return to the original posture period, the active level of biceps brachii and triceps brachii of lay-outs is better than substitutes (p<.05). Finally, some suggestions, according to the results, for table tennis athletes and future research were proposed: 1. In paddle rasing and wing to hit period, we should be concerned about shoulder stiffness. 2. In return to the original posture period, we should use forearm to return to the original posture quickly.
