Popis: | 98 In vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), routing schemes play a vital role in data dissemination. VANETs are a subclass of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) and have no fixed infrastructure. A VANET consists of vehicles instead of mobile nodes. Routing of data in a vehicular ad hoc network is a challenging task due to the high dynamics, unstable connection environments and transfer direction limit (real road planning) of such a network. However, it has been discussed that radio obstacles [1], as they are found in urban areas, have a significant negative impact on the performance of location based routing. Therefore, how to design a suitable routing protocol for VANETs is an important issue, especially, with regards to Inter-Vehicle Communication (IVC) applications. This thesis proposes a new location-based routing algorithm, precisely a geographic routing. We use the direction, density, and distance between nodes in the crossroad routing strategy to improve the link stability. We compare the packet loss rate and average end-to-end delay in our approach, using AODV and DSR as underlying routing methodology in the network. Simulations results are obtained that demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed routing strategy. |
