The study of Speed-Rodin Jet Pile(S-RJP) applying in Kaohsiung area

The improvement construction method applied in the underground deep excavation works, such as super-jet grouting ground improvement construction method, does not have the proper factor in Taiwan area. This study used S-RJP construction method to see if the pile diameter recommended by Japanese RJP Association is proper in Kaohsiung area. The study took the pile diameter value recommended by the RJP Association to four test areas. One of area is CL ground, and the others are SM ground. Then we analyze the result with RQD determine, on-site permeability and improved compressive strength tests. We used the pile diameter recommended by the RJP Association in area A. The ground can’t be improved expectedly. Then we used times of value in area B, CL ground. The result is less than 85%. Finally we used times of value in area C and D, SM ground. The result fits the safety standard. The result of the study shows that if the depth of the SM ground is within 30 meters and the value of N is between 15-30 in Kaohsiung, the ideal pile diameter of S-RJP construction method is 2.2 meters, times of the value recommended by the RJP Association.
