The popularity of the Internet makes the business models easily copied. Competition comes from everywhere around the world instead of single area. Uniqueness becomes more important for all enterprises. That’s the reason that company managers have to acquire new know-how and enhance the innovation capability speedily. That’s the differentiation concept which is emphasized by strategic management in recent years.How company managers find and control the innovation becomes the key to success and it’s also the main motive of this study. I prepared some interview and focus on the high lever manages of 3M in this study. Hope to know why 3M can keep taking the lead in the market through this study. If Organizational strategy planning and manager’s leadership significantly affected the innovation thinking besides organizational culture and technical capability.This study can provide some hints for enterprises in Taiwan on constantly thinking in product development and corporate long-term planning. Through this study: 1. Organizational culture significantly affected the development of new ideas and concepts presented. 3M''s organizational culture encourages the creation of new products and keeps driving the activation and innovation. Activation of new blood from the constant introduction of new products, also add new products to enhance its core values, to strengthen its organizational culture. 2. Technological capacity is the foundation on innovation. Only 3M has a professional and wide range technical platform can support all-inclusive innovation.All technical staff from different subsidiaries can share 3M’s successful technology cases to each other through the exchange on the technology platform, 3M’s technical staff also can provide various solutions to customers in different countries through the supporting on 3M internal technical platform. 3. Organizational strategy planning is the executive rule for all enterprises. The clearer rule can make the way more distinct to follow. It also can prove that enterprise has the determination to make innovation as a final goal and all staffs can go with the trend to implement the strategy. 4. Manager''s leadership is important in innovation.This factor is the key to make sure the innovation can be effective implemented.The key point is the communication between the leader and follower. Manager''s identity and encourage is the best motivation to open the window for staff to have creative thinking and effective implementation.
