Recently we have seen the government sector using Information Communication Technology (ICT), which is recognized as E-government. Governments in all countries are highly facing the need and challenges of responding to the public demand for more responsive, effective, efficient and participatory government. It has became clear that the tool of e-government can significantly assist in developing good and responsive government that provides better values and lower cost. This paper is a case study of implementation of ICT in public administration in The Gambia. The stages of e-government is estimated on the basis of model Dimensions and stages of e-government development introduced by K. Layne and J. Lee (2001), Interactivity of the citizens is evaluated. The Website Attribute Evaluation System is also used in scoring the transparency and Interactivity of the government website in the Gambia. The e-government development in The Gambia is currently in the beginning stage providing governmental information and downloadable forms for citizens online. There will be great effort required in furthering development to higher stages of the model. The government has published online quality information in ensuring its transparency and improving process of interactivity among citizens.
