Popis: | 98 There is little discussion concerning organizations and agencies engaged in the protection of the elderly work and ethical challenges of professional workers in our country currently. Therefore, this study attempts to take a closer look at this topic through an exploratory research. The goals of this study are as follows: (A) Put together and organize all experiences of professional workers in elderly protection field concerning ethical challenges. (B) Discussion the workers’ thought and attitude concerning ethical challenges. (C) Explore professional workers facing elderly protection decision making, its logic and strategy. Finally, according the finding in the research, propose practical suggestions to be used for future reference on elderly protection work. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection is done by giving in depth interviews to 10 candidates whom are professionals and have worked in the related field for more than 3 years.. Their services include: Government organizations and social affairs organization. At the end of the interview, the data gathered in the interview recordings is carefully analyzed. The findings in the interview were: First, professional workers ethical challenges becomes the most difficult when they have to self-determine. While in institutions or public sectors, it is the job role and the overlap of it sometimes that becomes the most challenging. In external institutions or public sectors, its the lack of a complete referral system and also that lack of knowledge of the community of professional worker in the field that is challenging. Second. The better the worker is equipped with the professional knowledge and skill, the better he can handle ethical challenges. Finally, according to the findings in this research, the researcher will provide suggestions as well as thoughts on the research. |
