| Popis: | 98 The thesis examines the effect of types of equity financing and financial reporting quality on investment efficiency. The sample consists of 1,186 observations selected from listed and over-the-counter companies in Taiwan from 2002 to 2008. Equity financing are classified into two types : seasoned equity offerings (SEO) and private placement(PP). The empirical results are summarized as follows: 1.The effects of firms private placement financing on improving under-investment are more pronounced than those of seasoned equity offerings. 2.I do not find the effects of financial reporting quality on enhancing investment efficiency are more pronounced for straight private placement financing relative to seasoned equity offerings financing. |
