The nine-year integrated curriculum has been implemented nearly ten years, and most of the teachers still use textbook as main exercise, neglecting the actual available resources from campus environment. Therefore, the type of teaching is usually led by teachers and students are often passive learning, lack the attitude of active studying. The information technology can contribute to education reform, bringing innovation to the traditional teaching. In the nine-year integrated curriculum, the "use of technology and information" is not only a key part of science and technology study, but also one of ten basic capabilities. This study used Flash software in agriculture information technology realm and designed an exercise and a lesson plan of plant growth simulation. Students can choose plant species and conduct irrigation and fertilizer with Flash animation to understand the process of plant growth and yield. This exercise was used for teaching students to observe the conceptual changes in plant growth. Questionnaire was used to survey the values of three plant growth concepts and learning attitude, and investigate the change of student’s conception of plant growth and learning effect. This study found the plant growth simulation lesson can significantly improve students’ conception of plant growth. The way to show animation of growth process can help students improve and clarify the correlation of plant growth and seed germination.
