A Study on the Relationships among Reasoning Skills, Problem Solving Creativity, and Problem Solving Skills for Students in Vocational Institutions at Higher Education Level

Popis: | 97 The main purposes of the study were to explore the relationships among reasoning skills, problem solving creativity, and problem solving skills for students in vocational institutions at higher deucation level. The investigated targets are clustered sampled from 900 studnets in 11 technological academies. The research tools adopted in the study were "The measure questionnaire for capability of reasoning skills "written by Dr. Ming-Chang Wu(2008) and "The test of problem solving creativity" written by Gin-Fon, Ju(2005). The collected data are analyzed by Pearson Correlation, ANOVA, t-test, Path Analysis and Description Statistcs. According to the analysis from the collected data, the study had the following conclusions: 1. There is a significant correlation among the students’ capabilities of reasoning skills, problem solving creativity, and problem solving skills. 2. There is a significant difference between the female students and male students in their capabilities of reasoning skills, problem solving creativity, and problem solving skills. 3. There is no significant difference among the students in different ages in their capabilities of reasoning skills, problem solving creativity, and problem solving skills. 4. There is a significant difference among the students who has different majors in their capabilities of reasoning skills, problem solving creativity, and problem solving skills. 5. The adequacy of the threshold standards showed that reasoning skills, problem solving creativity, and problem solving skills approach the collected data, so the model was adoptable. |
