Desging Curriculum in Training E-learning Staff in Masters-level Classes

E-learning has diversified the ways of learning. Previous studies made investigation mostly into the influences of digital tools on learners but gained less insight into the digital-learning staff’s abilities. The curriculum design should start with learner’s perspectives. Therefore, the study collected related literature, worked out the abilities needed for digital-learning staff, and managed suitable and tentative in-service digital-learning courses by means of conducting questionnaires on teachers and experts. The results in the study are as follows: (1) The capabilities that teachers put emphasis on are “capability of teaching design”, “capability of information selection, assessment, and application ”, “capability of lifelong learning”, and “basic concept of digital learning”. (2) As for the in-service development of digital-learning staff ‘s abilities, the top five curriculum, in terms of total scores, are as courses of “learning theory”, “teaching design”, “psychology”, “theory and practice of digital learning ”, and “knowledge management”. (3) The results show that the required courses suitable for opening in in-service development of digital-learning abilities are “learning theory”, “teaching design”, “knowledge management”, and “research method”.
