They need to maintain their competitive advantage by making use of R&D ability and Differentiation strategy to provide higher valued products and increase competitive abilities in Machine tool industry.. The main purpose of this study is to discuss the status of the development, trend of Global advantage and conduct SWOT analysis. While Taiwan’s Machine tool industry facing the global competition, ways to formulate the best strategy. For these past years, Machine tool industry grew up remarkable results in Europe and America market. The techniques leveled up to medium and high technical production. For long term, Machine tool industry upgrades competitive ability. They have to strengthen perfect supply chain, multiple products, global market and competitive advantage. Technical researchment & development in industry are surrounded by energy and environment protection. The laser machinery should play a important role by satisfying precision machinery and shorten process. Face to new material and high precision process, low pollution. Electric machine tool shall rapid growth in the future. Besides original markets, they must develop Auto industry, mineral industry, medical industry, construction industry market. Machine tool stay in global competition, they make every effort to adjust the structure, differentiated production, invention and produce high value products. The target is to match customer’s requirements and upgrade competitive advantage It is suggested strengthen R&D, upgrade to higher value by means of strategy alliance, developing export Market and exploring new Market. It is proposed that Taiwan’s Machine tool industry should actively build up closer partner relationship with international companies actively. It should be enhanced in the key technology of integration. It is also suggested that cooperation among government, industry and research institute should be strengthened to assist the development of Machine tool industry. |
