Implementation and performance evaluation of multimode modulator for GSM, DVB-T and WiMAX wireless communication systems

| Popis: | 97 In the recent years, wireless communication technology become more and more mature. It lead to produce many communication standards. Due to difference between communication systems, how to integrate different communication systems in a handset is an important issue. In this thesis, software defined radio(SDR) technology was used to achieve multimode modulator on a single platform which included the various modulation (GMSK/M-QAM/QPSK) schemes of present wireless communication systems. By tuning the parameters of the Gaussian filter and pulse shaping filter, the structure of multimode modulator can quickly switch modulation mode among different modulation schemes. Then, the signal simulation and component timing simulation were verified by Matlab and Altera Quartus II. FPGA development board and vector signal analyzer were used to measure output signal and compare simulation with measurement. Finally, we draw a conclusion from these results. |
