Living in the fast pace of modern society, people have some pressure more or less in their work or daily life. Especially in the educational environment, teachers have to face educational policy reform over and over again. Therefore, those psychologically imperceptible tensions, anxiety, and stress may cause the lose of balance in their life. It results in frustration for the education work, and moreover, affects the quality of education. For government, this is the most worthy of attention. Facing the major changes in education, teachers and students will have to face this challenge. However, elementary school teachers who face with increasingly heavy work loading on one hand need to face the policies of small class teaching, diversification of teacher education, editing local materials by themselves, teaching computer networks, and the implementation of new curriculum, and on the other hand, the needs to assist school administration, meet parents’ request, participate in community activities, and accept teaching philosophy. However,they do need to relieve their work pressure and have appropriate recreational activities to increase their work satisfaction. The study aimed to explore the relationships among work pressure, leisure attitudes and job satisfaction of the elementary school teachers. A total of two hundred and thirty elementary school teachers in Taichung City were investigated and to explore the relationships among the above variables. The finding of this study is that reducing work pressure appropriately and having good leisure attitudes are helpful for elementary school teachers’ job satisfaction.
