Network Coding Aware Routing for Wireless Ad hoc Networks with Load-Balancing Considerations

| Popis: | 97 Network coding was proposed to increase network capacity. COPE [3] proposed a forwarding mechanism which can utilize benefit of network coding. Different routing algorithms over COPE may have different gain from network coding. In this paper, we discuss the importance of coding-aware routing and the tradeoff between load-balanced and coding-aware routings. We also propose a new coding-aware routing which combine the advantages of load-balanced and network coding. We then conduct ns-2 simulations to evaluate the performance of our proposed algorithm. The simulation result shows that our proposed algorithm has significant improvement the performance of coding-oblivious routing. |
