| Popis: | 97 The purpose of this study is to examine the picture books of Allen Say. To use author’s autobiography, and assist with the biographical studies, narrative analysis, and multiculturalism as a research method to review the pictures, text and the relationship between pictures and text of his picture books. Chapter one aims to research motivation and purpose, the related literatures, research method and steps, and research scale and limitation of this study. Chapter Two, according to discuss Allen Say’s background, characteristics, and picture books’ constituting essentials to analyze his picture books, then divide into three periods of his creative life: comic-like style, Ukiyo-e style, and photographic painting style. In Chapter Three, Four, Five, explain the distinguishing features of pictures, text, and the relationship between these in his picture books of these three different creative periods. Finally, it’s to summarize how he presented his personality, multicultural background, life history, self-expectation, and goal on his picture books. |
