Supply chain management (SCM) has been a major component of competitive strategy to enhance organizational productivity and profitability. This paper investigates the impacts of various demand forecasting and information sharing situations on the performance the whole supply chain and its members. Simulation model is used to generate individual performance indicators for the retailer, distribution center and manufacturer. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) then used to synchronize those individual performance indicators into an overall one, and to assess and compare their efficiencies. Friedman two-way analysis of variance by ranks is also utilized to test if the demand forecasting methods and information sharing influence the performance of supply chain and its members. The results show that both demand forecasting methods and information sharing significantly affect the performance of the supply chain.
