Popis: | 97 The changes of tissue water content, osmolality and ion concentrations of Sinonovacula constricta exposed to different salinity (0, 14, 24 and 34 psu) with different salinity drip (0, 14, 24 and 34 psu) was observed in the present study. The tissue water content and hemolymph osmolality, ion concentrations of S. constricta were changed with ambient salinity changes. The hemolymph osmolality, ion concentrations increased and tissue water content decreased as the increase of the ambient salinity. In fresh water, S. constricta dripped with the solutions of 0, 14, 24 and 34 psu, respectively, resulted in the tissue water content of 91.38, 89.32, 86.15 and 82.19%, respectively. In lower salinity conditions, the tissue water content of S. constricta was decreased significant, after being dripped with high salinity solution. Na+ content is the highest in hemolymph of S. constricta and follow by Cl-, Mg2+, Ca2+ and K+. In fresh water, the hemolymph ion concentrations of Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Cl- were 3.24±1.43, 0.45±1.43, 1.79±1.48, 0.32±0.10 and 16.00±1.29 mmol/L, respectively. Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Cl- levels in hemolymph of S. constricta were increased to 290.31±10.23, 3.24±0.37, 8.41±0.13, 16.66±1.49 and 299.60±25.85 mmol/L, respectively, post the drip of salt water (34 psu). Sum up of there results S. constricta uses gill to regulate osmolality and ion concentrations. This study further confirmed that S. constricta is the osmoconformer by monitoring the osmolality and ion concentration in exhalant water. |
