This thesis is a part of the continuous investigation about the high-speed cupped propellers having good efficiency and being able to avoid cavitation erosion on blade surface for operating speed above 35 knots and at inclined shaft conditions. The propellers with different amounts of cup combined with different pitch ratios and different area ratios will be tested at different cavitation numbers at inclined shaft condition. From the experimental results, it is shown that the new-section propeller with 0.9 area ratio with cup of total amount 37% of the maximal thickness at 0.7R has better efficiency for the propeller with 1.4 pitch ratio. The bigger the area ratio it is, the worse the effect of cup it is for high-speed condition. If the cup of the propeller is well designed, the thrust breakdown can be controlled effectively with relatively low area ratio compared with that of conventional propellers. When the ship speed is below 36 knots, the cupped propeller with 1.2 pitch ratio and 0.75 area ratio has better efficiency. However, when the ship speed is higher than 40 knots, the cupped propeller with 1.4 pitch ratio has better efficiency.
