The goal of this research is to explore the elementary school students’ awareness and practice of children’s rights in Kaohsiung County, to investigate related factors in varied backgrounds, and make clear about the mutuality between awareness and practice in children’s rights. 5 and 6 grade students are sampling for this study, and uses self-editing questionnaire-The Questionnaire for schoolyard children’s awareness and practice of children’s rights in Kaohsiung County Elementary School High Grade Students to collect data. Form these statistics and analysis formed from frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, research complied some discovery as follow-up. 1.The mean score is 4.333 for children’s right awareness scale, and 4.343 for practice scale. 2.There are statistically significant in awareness and practice within factors sex, races, experience of classmate officials, but not for grades and mentor’s instructing types. 3.There is positive correlation between Elementary School Students’ Awareness and Practice of Children’s Rights. 4.There was significant and positive correlation between the cognition and the practice of human rights of the high graders of elementary schools. Based these indications listed above, researcher provides some suggestions for present human-rights’ education. 1.School should create a circumstance with human right respect. 2.Encourages children to practice behavior to fit in human rights. 3.Intensifies the opportunities for children to provide self-opinion, to participate in decisions for affairs of class and school. 4.Strengthens parent education and parent’s human rights’ thought for mutual progress in parents and school. 5.Respecting aboriginal students’ difference, designs optimal instruction. 6.Improving human rights and character education for boy, provides guidance and assistance in times.
