The Effectiveness of Using the Blog on Project-Based Learning

The research aimed at exploring the effects of blog assisted learning in the project based learning (PBL) on a seven-grade junior high school in natural science education. This experiment adopts the design of pretest and protest for 8 weeks. The instruments of research include “the learning effectiveness test” and “the scientific attitude scale” and the data are collected. Collect the response from blog, learning journals and satisfaction survey. The quantification research data analyzed by descriptive statistics, dependent samples t-test, one way ANCOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis, Kendall's coefficient of concordance and qualitative analysis. The results of research are as follow: 1.There is a significantly difference in the learning achievement of using the blog on Project Based Learning. 2.There is no significantly difference in gender, father’s education degree and mother’s education degree on the learning achievement. 3.There is no significantly difference in students’ science attitudes of using the blog on Project Based Learning. 4.There is no significantly difference in gender and mother’s education degree on science attitude; but it is signification difference in the father’s education degree on science attitude. 5.There is a significantly positive correlation in the learning achievement and science attitude of using the blog on Project Based Learning. 6.The satisfaction of students have been achieved the intermediate level of using the blog on Project Based Learning.
