A Study of Customer's Willingness of Revisiting to the Hot Spring Hotels in Central Taiwan

SPA and hot spring bathing have been common in our life to relax ourselves from the daily pressures. Hot spring hotels, different from the other hotels offer functions such as SPA and recreation in addition to room and board. In the meantime, consumes can satisfy with the effects of relaxation psychologically and physically, because they are far away the city life. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships among the motivation, service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, behavioral intentions in the hot spring hotel industry. The respondents in this study are consumers who have visited the hot spring hotels in Taichung and Nantou area. According to the Tourism Bureau a total of 23 hotels in Taichung City, Taichung County and Nantou County are legally permitted to run the business. One hot spring hotel was randomly selected in each above-mentioned city or country to cover all hotels in the three city and counties. A total of 500 questionnaires were issued, 479 were collected, after screening the invalid questionnaires, a total of 443 are valid. The response rate is 88.6%. In this study, AMOS analysis was done to motivation, service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, behavioral intention to explore their relationships. This study shows that there are no significant difference between motivation and customer satisfaction, and between service quality and perceived value. The other assumptions are significant (motivation and perceived value, service quality and customer satisfaction, perceived value and customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction and behavior intentions). The results provide the hot spring hotels industry in managing the hotels.
