Popis: | 97 The hospital industry in Taiwan compare with neighboring countries is well known by the outstanding medical treatment with reasonably price that perceives as the competitive advantages. Along with globalization and cross-strait exchanges, medical tourism industry has already been incorporated into government’s next generation focal point in development, while medical laboratory is the key especially in the clinical diagnosis and treatment that determines its competitive advantages. In order to improve medical care’s quality, the Department of Health has categorized medical laboratory accreditation as part of the overall hospital performance assessment since 1990. The purpose is to draw a unified standardization in medical laboratory in order to enhance service quality in different levels of hospitals. The aim of this research is to investigate medical laboratory performance measurement and its framework through Evidence-Based Medicine. Previous study placed emphasis on the software/hardware of medical laboratory itself but from customer’s needs perspective has shown its deficiency. This research has thoroughly studied literature review, the operation of medical laboratory of different levels in Taiwan, and the best practice of performance measurement in other industries proposed three key performance indicators (KPI): medical laboratory effectiveness, operation efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This research applied fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) in determining relative weight of KPI. Further by applying VIKOR to identify the scheme of performance arrangement in terms of FAHP results. The imperial study has shown that medical laboratory effectiveness is generally accepted as the most important factor in medical laboratory and then operation efficiency, and customer satisfaction respectively. This has also proved that medical laboratory is report accuracy dominated which meets real world situation. |
