An Evaluation of an Online Reporting Information System of Campus Security of Kaohsiung City Education Bureau from Users' Perspectives

| Popis: | 97 Kaohsiung City Education Bureau“ Campus Security Notification System ”can not only enhance city and school education authorities accurately and timely control students’ learning situations inside or outside campus, but help schools effectively manage students’ activities as well. Besides, if security concerns happen in campus, the security notification system will be activated immediately to protect safety and property of students and faculties through technology and team work. The rapid and effective campus security response would prevent the crisis from deteriorating and reduce the negative influence into minimum even further into nothing. It is beneficial to achieve the objective of “Zero Security Damage of campus”. The researcher based on the” Information System Model” of Delone and Mclean finding an integrated and verified frame to evaluate Kaohsiung City Education Bureau “School Security Notification System” from users perspectives. The research also used statistic methodology including “Reliability Analysis”,” Validity Analysis”,” Factors Components Analysis” “Univariate Analysis of Variance”, and” Path Analysis “ to analyze questionnaires with the population of 153 schools, including 31senior high school, 35 junior high school, and 87 elementary school. Through the analysis, the research concluded as follows: 1. There is a significant impact on the users’ attitudes toward the information system quality, and willingness to use the system. 2. Users’ willingness to use the system will be significantly influenced by security quality. 3. There is a significant impact on the users while using the system satisfactory. The disciplinary and counseling chief of school must handle daily business and be responsible for part-time teaching research and counseling. There is a significant positive influence if the chief uses the” Campus Security Electronic Notification System”, whereas the chief whether decides to use the system or not mainly consider the operation easy or difficult, and if he or she can complete the campus security notification procedure in a limited time. Suggestions of the research are as follows: 1.To extend the Kaohsiung City Education Bureau “Campus Security Notification System” and” Campus Security Electronic Notification System” into national wide (including universities and colleges). 2.To understand users’ attitude and willingness of operating ” Campus Security Electronic Notification System” and involve related personnel(including students, class tutor and director) in comprehensive range survey which can be considered critically for the system future development. |
