Popis: | 97 Han Yu, who was also named Tuizhi, was a famous writer, thinker, and outstanding statesman and educationalist. He was born in A.D. 768 years and died in A.D. 824 years. He lived for 57 years. Han Yu thought he inherited Confucius and Mencius thought. He publicized the spirit of Confucianist and devoted to save the central government. When he died, the emperor granted him a peerage of Shangshu and Wen. He was also called Han Wengong or Han Libu because his last government position was Libushilong. The Tang dynasty after the rebellion of An Lushan and Shimei Shi was a period of time that the national power declined. Warlords occupied many states and caused many wars. Eunuchs controlled the government and Buddhism Taoism thought prevailed. During that time, the whole nation was dispirited. People who departed from the classics and betrayed principle brought infinite disaster. Han Yu became a government official by imperial civil service examination system. He did his best to respect the emperor and repelled heresy. He guarded the traditional Confucianism and tried to restore the empire prosperous times. Han Yu’s complex and diverse thought reflected the complex of the society in middle Tang dynasty. Han Yu’s unique and uncommon thought is worth researching. Han Yu inherited old Confucian orthodoxy and developed new Confucianism. His achievement in Confucianism and literature is very great. He promoted Classical Prose Movement and manifested the rebirth of Confucius and Mencius thought. The Classical Prose Movement which was leaded by Han Yu influenced the society in Tang dynasty and also influenced the rebirth of Confucius and Mencius thought. In the history of thought, Han Yu was the leader and founder of the rebirth of Confucius and Mencius thought. The literature revolution was first leaded in Tang dynasty, prevailed in Song dynasty, and continued in Ming and Qing dynasty. Han Yu rejected heresy, Buddhism and Taoism. He inherited from the past and carried on for the future in shaping Chinese traditional culture. Although scholars’ opinions about Han Yu’s thought were different, the fame of Han Yu is still high. The Chinese traditional culture which was mainly composed of Confucianism can unite Chinese together. Now we re-know Han Yu by cultural thought and know his historical value can’t be replaced by anyone. The dissertation tries to research the theme of the connotation and value of Han Yu’s thought and articles. This dissertation focuses on Han Yu’s life and background. Then it tries to analyze the important viewpoint and significance of Han Yu’s article. Finally, the dissertation will sum up the research achievement. |
