The purpose of this study was to understand the relationship between the academic stress and academic achievement of junior high school students. A questionnaire was used to investigation the study. “The Questionnaire of Junior High School Students’ Academic Stress. ”which was made by the authorwas the instrument of data collection.The target subjects werejunior high students from the seventh grade to the ninth grade in Taipei Country, and they were randomil sampled according to the size of theit schools. ANOVA was used to analyze the collected vailded data,two hundred and forty eight samples. The major findings of the study are as follows: 1. In different gender、time for study、time for cram、the parents education level and household income of junior high school students, some aspects of the academic stress were significantly different. 2. In different gender、time for cram、household income of junior high school students, some aspects of academic achievementwas found significantly different. 3. There was a significantly difference aspects of the academic achievement in junior high school students’ different the academic stress: a. The students who have higher academic stress from grades concern factors, teachers’expection factors and perfect concern factors can get higher academic achievement. b. The students who have less academic stress from lord study factors、distraction factors and happy family factors can get higher academic achievement.
